Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre Certification Limited
The Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre Certification Limited is the first local independent certification body of organic production in Hong Kong. The Centre is providing organic certification service and actively promoting organic movement to public through mass publicity and educational campaigns. We are seeking passionate and energetic candidates who are interested in organic and agricultural development in Hong Kong to fill the following vacancies:
A. Certification Officer
The appointee is expected to assist the Centre Manager/Senior Certification Officer in the execution of administrative and certification system control matters, promotional and educational activities. He/She will involve in handling certification applications, maintaining certification documentation system and website, promoting organic agriculture and aquaculture industries and educating the public on related areas.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, fisheries, biology, environmental science or related disciplines. Knowledge of certification, auditing, food safety and/or organic farming/fisheries will be an advantage. They should be self-motivated, out-going, energetic, able to work independently, and willing to take new challenges and work with various stakeholders. They should also have passion for and devotion to organic and green living, and the eagerness to promote local organic agriculture. Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese and good computer skills including MS Office and Chinese word-processing are required.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
